KARACHI: The Pakistan Navy has officially launched the sea phase of the third edition of the maritime exercise ‘Sea Guard.’ This strategic drill aims to bolster the defense of Pakistan’s maritime frontiers and critical infrastructure.
Massive Participation: A total of 53 stakeholders are participating, including the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Sindh Police, Pakistan Coast Guards, and Pakistan Customs. Strategic Focus: The primary objective is to assess and enhance the security protocols for various ports and vital maritime installations across the coastline. Task Force 88: The dedicated Task Force 88, responsible for the security of Gwadar Port, will demonstrate its operational readiness and tactical capabilities during the drills. Inter-Agency Synergy: The exercise focuses on improving coordination and response times between the Pakistan Navy and civil departments like Customs and ANF to tackle maritime threats and smuggling.
