KDA Revenue Recovery Shatters Records With Massive July Surge

KARACHI: The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) has registered a remarkable turnaround in its financial recovery, surpassing PKR 220 million (22 crore) in July—a massive leap from its previous monthly average of PKR 120 million to 140 million (12 to 14 crore). This performance shatters the annual record, driven by strategic interventions from the Director-General to clear administrative roadblocks and fast-track pending land cases.

Key Highlights & Performance Breakdown

July’s revenue collection exceeded PKR 22.14 crore, marking the highest monthly recovery recorded in the past year. This impressive surge follows strict directives from the KDA Director-General, who actively addressed deliberate delays and the stalling of transfer and mutation files by certain land department officials. Prompt administrative intervention ensured the smooth transfer of files from the Land Department to the Recovery Department, enabling rapid case resolutions and a revitalized financial influx for the organization.
