KARACHI: The Sindh provincial cabinet, chaired by the Chief Minister, has approved a 7.5% increase in the minimum wage for workers across the province, with the revised wage structure officially taking effect on July 1, 2026.
The minimum monthly wage for unskilled workers has been raised from PKR 40,000 to PKR 43,000, alongside proportional increases approved for semi-skilled, skilled, and highly skilled workers. This notification applies to all notified industrial and commercial establishments throughout Sindh to ensure strict compliance with the standardized wage system. Emphasizing the provincial government’s dedication to worker welfare and economic security through continuous labor reforms, the Chief Minister highlighted that the cabinet also cleared critical decisions regarding healthcare, justice, and labor welfare during the session.
