KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) spokesperson Shazia Marri has strongly reacted to the recent changes in the Azad Kashmir election schedule, asserting that tactical shifts cannot suppress the overwhelming wave of public support for the party.
Marri claimed that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vigorous election campaign has sent shockwaves through political opponents, leaving them visibly rattled. She emphasized that the PPP anchors its trust firmly in the power of the people, stating, “No matter how the schedule is manipulated, the power of the public vote will prevail, and PPP will emerge victorious.”
Highlighting the party’s core stance, the spokesperson reiterated Bilawal Bhutto’s unwavering and unequivocal advocacy for the Kashmir cause, emphasizing that any resolution must align strictly with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Furthermore, Marri cautioned federal ministers against making reckless statements that could escalate political tensions. She urged all political forces to demonstrate responsibility regarding national interests and the Kashmir cause, concluding that ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections remains the fundamental requirement of a true democracy.
