KARACHI: Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has expressed strong indignation following the seizure of a Sindh government vehicle by Pakistan Customs, calling the act “unacceptable.” Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the minister shared official documents of the vehicle to prove its legal status and clarified that the vehicle belongs to the Information Department, having been purchased directly from an official outlet of Indus Motor Company.
Sharjeel Memon asserted that the vehicle was seized despite the staff presenting all necessary documentation to the Customs officials, stating that such behavior toward a provincial government department is intolerable. Consequently, the minister has demanded that Pakistan Customs not only return the vehicle immediately but also issue a formal written apology for the incident. This development has sparked a debate regarding the coordination between federal enforcement agencies and provincial departments in the metropolis.
