KARACHI: In a move to promote inclusivity, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has officially abolished entry fees for special children at the Karachi Zoo. The Mayor issued immediate directives to the zoo administration to ensure that children with disabilities are granted free access to the facility.
Speaking on the occasion, Murtaza Wahab emphasized that special children are valuable assets of our society and it is a collective responsibility to ensure their well-being. He further stated that the Sindh Government is actively running various projects focused on employment, skill development, and awareness programs specifically designed for people with disabilities.
The Mayor also highlighted that providing modern education, assistive devices, and a tailored curriculum remains a top priority for the local administration. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) to make public recreational spaces more accessible and welcoming for all citizens.
