KARACHI: Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab conducted a late-night visit to various parts of the city to inspect ongoing road restoration and infrastructure development projects. During the visit, officials from the Engineering Department provided a detailed briefing on the progress, timelines, and construction standards of the current projects.
The Mayor issued strict instructions to ensure all projects are completed within the stipulated timeframe and meet high-quality standards, warning that no negligence will be tolerated. Alongside infrastructure repair, he emphasized that beautifying the city’s arteries is a top priority to enhance Karachi’s overall landscape. After reviewing beautification work at several key locations, he directed authorities to accelerate the pace, stating that citizens must now see a practical and visible change on the ground.
Barrister Murtaza Wahab declared this year as a “Year of Change,” promising that Karachi’s residents would soon feel the positive impact of these initiatives. He further emphasized that mere explanations and paper-based reports are no longer sufficient; the focus must shift entirely to evident, high-quality work on the streets and highways of the metropolis.
