KARACHI: In a significant move to enhance passenger convenience, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has initiated a project to replace the outdated Flight Information Display System (FIDS) at Karachi Airport with a modern, advanced infrastructure. An international tender has been officially issued, inviting qualified firms to submit their bids by August 13. The primary objective of this project is upgrading the legacy flight information display system at Jinnah International Airport to improve real-time passenger communication and overall airport efficiency through an international competitive bidding process. Interested and eligible companies must submit their applications to the Additional Director of Logistics by the August 13 deadline, while keeping in mind that bidders are required to submit a mandatory bid security of 20 million PKR (2 crore rupees) along with their proposals.
