KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather advisory forecasting intermittent rains and a high risk of urban flooding across various districts of Sindh, driven by a low-pressure system over southwestern Rajasthan and strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea. Until July 27, intermittent rainfall is expected across multiple districts—including Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Dadu—with authorities warning of potential urban flooding in key areas and risks to vulnerable infrastructure from strong winds and lightning. Meanwhile, Karachi is anticipated to experience mostly cloudy, hot, and humid conditions over the next three days, featuring potential thunderstorms in suburban areas, light rain or drizzle elsewhere in the city, and maximum temperatures ranging between 33°C and 36°C.
