KARACHI: The Defense Women Conflict Case has taken a serious turn as threatened families seek urgent intervention from the Sindh High Court following disturbing disclosures of intimidation and severe pressure to reach an out-of-court settlement. According to the counsel for petitioners Noorul Ain and her brother, the victims have been forced to abandon their home and take refuge with relatives due to persistent security threats over the past 11 days. In response, a constitutional bench of the Sindh High Court, headed by Justice Saleem, heard a petition to nullify the FIR registered in connection with the clash, directing local police to ensure comprehensive security for the petitioners while issuing notices to all concerned parties for September 21. Legal representation also confirmed that DIG South has personally contacted the affected family, recorded their statements, and assured them of strict legal action. Meanwhile, parallel proceedings are underway at the Sessions Court South regarding a separate petition filed to compel law enforcement to register an official criminal case against the individuals involved in the physical assault following initial police inaction.
