KARACHI: The Sindh High Court has rejected the pre-arrest bail petitions of Zeeshan and Sohail, alleged facilitators of the primary accused Anmol, alias Pinki, in a narcotics case. During the hearing, the defense counsel requested the withdrawal of the bail applications while urging the court to direct the trial court to expedite the proceedings.
Justice Iqbal Kalhoro dismissed the petitions as withdrawn and mandated that the trial court conclude the case within three months. The bench remarked that the petitioners reserve the right to reapply for bail on merit if the trial is not finalized within the stipulated timeframe.
According to the state prosecutor, the suspects—who operate a microfinance business—are accused of providing financial facilitation to Anmol. Investigators revealed that the accused verified drug-sale proceeds before dispatching riders to deliver narcotics.
