KARACHI: The Commissioner has directed relevant officials to accelerate ongoing infrastructure and beautification projects across the Red Zone, ensuring they are completed within strict deadlines. During a high-level review meeting, it was revealed that physical progress on these initiatives currently stands at 75 percent, while financial progress has reached 64 percent. Key updates and targets outlined in the meeting include the beautification of Kabootar Chowk, which is scheduled for completion within the current month, alongside active carpeting and restoration work on three major thoroughfares: Shahrah-e-Kamal Ataturk, Court Road, and Strachan Road. With the carpeting of Shahrah-e-Kamal Ataturk nearing completion before work transitions to Court Road and remaining sections, officials have committed to fully finishing all three roads within the next ten days. Additionally, the Commissioner has mandated the submission of a detailed progress chart featuring comprehensive data on physical and financial milestones alongside photographic evidence of completed tasks.
