KARACHI: Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has officially approached the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) by filing a formal written complaint against a malicious social media defamation campaign targeting both him and his son, Rawal Memon, complete with attached screenshots of the offending accounts, pages, and groups.
According to the details, false and fabricated posts began circulating on August 9, 2026, falsely claiming that a guest house located in Gulistan-e-Johar, Karachi, belongs to Memon and was the site of the alleged torture and murder of Mir Ali Raza. Terming these allegations entirely baseless and driven by bad faith, Minister Memon stated that the smear campaign is a deliberate attempt to damage his political reputation and social standing, prompting him to urge the authorities to take immediate notice and launch a thorough investigation into the matter.
