KARACHI – Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon conducted a detailed visit to the Red Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project site to review the ongoing construction and development work. During the visit, project officials provided a comprehensive briefing on the progress. The Senior Minister issued strict directives to ensure the timely completion of the project without compromising on quality standards.
Minister Memon announced that two phases of the Red Line BRT have already been completed, with the third phase expected to be finished soon. He highlighted that the Transport Department recently completed and opened the Taj Haider Bridge to the public, significantly easing traffic flow. “All these projects are aimed at the development of Karachi. The city is progressing,” stated the Minister.
He further noted that the Mayor of Karachi is actively working on road improvements. In areas where repair work is ongoing, the Local Government Department and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) are working in close coordination to provide relief to citizens. Minister Memon reiterated the Sindh Government’s commitment to modernizing the city’s transport infrastructure to provide world-class commuting facilities to the residents of Karachi.
