KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Janjal Goth area of Karachi, apprehending eight suspects belonging to the notorious “Mani Gang.” The group is allegedly involved in numerous robberies and street crime incidents across the city.
Details of the Arrest
According to a Rangers spokesperson, the arrested individuals have been identified as Shahzaib Khan alias Anda s/o Muhammad Sher, Hazir Ahmed alias Putt s/o Ramzan, Ghumai s/o Lajpar, Asmatullah alias Mattoo s/o Umar, Zeeshan s/o Rahim Siddiq, Zalmai s/o Lajpar, Fazal-ur-Rehman alias Mani s/o Fazal Karim, and Musa s/o Jaleel.
Recovered Items
During the raid, security forces recovered two .30 bore pistols (unlicensed), one mobile phone, one tablet, and cash from the suspects’ possession.
Area of Operations
Investigations reveal that the gang primarily operated in Northern Bypass, KDA Link Road, Gulshan-e-Maymar, and surrounding vicinities, where they carried out multiple robberies and street crimes.
Legal Action
The arrested suspects, along with the recovered weapons and stolen property, have been handed over to the police for further legal proceedings and formal investigation.
