The Pakistan national cricket team has advanced to fourth place in the latest ICC ODI Rankings, edging past Australia following impressive victories over Sri Lanka and England in the ongoing Tri-Nation Series in Rawalpindi. This recent winning streak has boosted Pakistan’s rating points to 103, placing them just a single point behind third-placed South Africa (104 points). India continues to lead the global standings with 115 points, followed by New Zealand in second with 109 points, while Australia has consequently slipped to fifth position.

The ranking boost was largely driven by a dominant 87-run victory over England. After recovering from an early wobble at 81/4, Pakistan posted a competitive total of 302 runs, courtesy of key contributions from Hassan Nawaz (79), Arafat Minhas (59), and a quickfire cameo from Faheem Ashraf (39). In response, England was bowled out for 215, largely due to a phenomenal all-round performance by young sensation Arafat Minhas, who followed up his half-century with remarkable bowling figures of 6 for 40.
With strong momentum on their side and only one point separating them from South Africa, sustained success in the upcoming fixtures could soon see Pakistan break into the top three of the global ODI rankings.
