Singapore International Film Festival: Renowned Bollywood actor Aamir Khan became emotional during an interactive session at the Singapore International Film Festival, where he was honored with the Screen Icon Award by Hong Kong director Peter Chan Ho-sun.
Reflecting on the toughest phase of his life, the 61-year-old actor shared that his biggest regret was not a box-office failure, but the realization during the COVID-19 lockdown that his intense, decades-long obsession with work had cost him precious time with his children and loved ones.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Khan paused to compose himself as the audience cheered in support. He revealed that this realization prompted a major lifestyle shift four years ago, leading him to consciously prioritize family and close friends. Expressing gratitude for realizing this at age 56 rather than later in life, he noted that it allowed him the chance to rebuild and nurture his personal relationships.
