KARACHI: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) Governing Council, chaired by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi alongside PSL CEO Salman Naseer and franchise representatives, has officially announced the roadmap and key operational details for PSL Season 12. As part of the main policy decisions, the direct player signing window will operate between October 23 and November 23, allowing each franchise to recruit one marquee player on the condition that they have not participated in the last two PSL seasons. Following this window, the player auction is scheduled for January 23, 2027, setting the stage for the main event to take place from March 18 to May 2.
To expand the league’s reach, PSL 12 will be hosted across five to six cities, building on the record crowd attendance achieved during Season 11. Ahead of the marquee tournament, the PCB will conduct a dedicated cricket workshop next week and organize the National T20 Cup (Gold and Silver editions) as preparatory events. Reaffirming their commitment to the league’s growth, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi emphasized leveraging Pakistan’s biggest cricket stage to bring matches to more local fans, while CEO Salman Naseer noted that the race for franchises to assemble their ultimate squads officially begins today.
