KARACHI: Several parts of the provincial capital received light rain and drizzle on Thursday, providing much-needed relief from the heat and turning the city’s weather pleasant. According to details, the drizzle started in areas including Clifton, Sea View, and Lyari, along with their surrounding localities. This change in weather significantly brought down the intensity of the heat, much to the delight of the residents. Similar weather conditions were reported in SITE Area and Rashidabad where light rain was recorded, while Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Hassan Square, Tariq Road, and surrounding areas also experienced a pleasant shift in temperature due to the drizzle.
Met Office Forecast: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that the rain/drizzle is likely to continue in more parts of the city over the next few hours. This is expected to lead to a further drop in temperature, providing a refreshing break for Karachiites.
