KARACHI – Strengthening the maritime alliance between the two neighboring nations, a People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy ship, Daqing, arrived in Karachi to participate in the joint naval exercise Sea Guardian IV. According to a spokesperson for the Pakistan Navy, the Chinese vessel was accorded a warm welcome upon its arrival at the port. The exercise is scheduled to take place from March 25 to April 2, 2026.
Key Objectives and Activities
The primary goal of the Sea Guardian series is to enhance operational synergy and professional cooperation between the two navies. During the harbor phase, the exercise will feature professional seminars, expert-level dialogues, and planning sessions. In the subsequent sea phase, both navies will engage in advanced tactical maneuvers, gunnery drills, and maritime security operations to ensure seamless coordination.
