KARACHI: In a major anti-narcotics operation, the Karachi District East Police have arrested Kamran Murad, the brother of the notorious drug kingpin and head of the ‘Cocaine Gang’, Anmol alias Pinky. Acting on a precise intelligence tip-off, a team from the Jamshed Quarters Police Station executed a successful raid near Ghora Chorangi to apprehend the suspect. During the operation, authorities seized over two kilograms of high-quality hashish, half a kilogram of crystal meth (ice), a mobile phone, and cash. Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspect is a habitual offender with a prior criminal record who was actively involved in an illicit network smuggling contraband across various sectors of Karachi, specifically targeting the city’s youth. Two separate cases under the Narcotics Act have been registered against Murad at the Jamshed Quarters Police Station, and further investigation is underway to completely dismantle the remaining network operated by his sister, Anmol alias Pinky.
