KARACHI: Two people lost their lives in a tragic road accident involving two oil tankers and a dumper truck in the Mianwali Colony area of Manghopir. According to details, the incident occurred near the F-11 bus stop in Kanwari Colony. Initial reports suggest that the crash was caused by a mechanical failure in one of the vehicles.

The Incident

SHO Manghopir, Khush Nawaz, stated that an oil tanker was parked on the roadside due to a mechanical fault. Another oil tanker, whose brakes reportedly failed, rammed into the stationary vehicle from behind. The impact caused the second tanker to lose control and collide with a nearby dumper truck. Tragically, two individuals present at the scene were crushed during the pile-up.

Casualties and Identification

Chhipa ambulance volunteers reached the site immediately and shifted the bodies to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The deceased have been identified as 70-year-old Lal Man Shah, son of Zeeruddin, and 25-year-old Asadullah, son of Bismillah Khan.

Current Situation

Both oil tankers involved in the accident were reportedly filled with diesel. To prevent any further disaster or fire, police have cordoned off the area and are keeping the public at a safe distance. The drivers of both tankers managed to flee the scene following the collision. Police have launched a search operation to apprehend them and are further investigating whether the victims were pedestrians or motorcyclists at the time of the accident.
