KARACHI: The College Education Department has imposed an immediate and strict ban on tobacco and drug use across all colleges in Karachi. According to the official notification, the ban explicitly prohibits cigarettes, vapes, nicotine pouches, paan, and gutka within campus premises. College principals are now directly responsible for ensuring a completely smoke-free and drug-free environment, while official letters have also been issued to Deputy Commissioners to halt the sale of tobacco and narcotics in the immediate surroundings of all educational institutions.
