KARACHI: Sindh Local Government Minister Nasser Hussain Shah has firmly dismissed discussions regarding the division of Sindh, labeling them as non-serious remarks by certain individuals and reiterating that the province will never be divided. Speaking alongside Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab at the inauguration ceremony of the Manzoor Colony Chowrangi Underpass, Shah highlighted the Pakistan Peoples Party’s developmental achievements in Karachi. He emphasized that the PPP has spearheaded major infrastructure projects, including numerous bridges and underpasses, while also reclaiming public spaces by demolishing illegal wedding halls built on city grounds. Addressing criticisms labeling Karachi as one of the worst cities, Shah rejected the narrative, pointing out that people continue to flock to the city because it represents a Mini-Pakistan welcoming residents from all backgrounds. He acknowledged minor grievances regarding local development, noting that town chairmen and the mayor are working round-the-clock, with immediate corrective actions taken upon receiving complaints.
