KARACHI: Sindh Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar visited the residence of renowned scholar Allama Shahanshah Hussain Naqvi to discuss security arrangements and logistics for the upcoming Youm-e-Quds rally. The high-level meeting included Provincial Minister Nasir Hussain Shah, Riaz Shah Shirazi, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the IG Sindh, Commissioner Karachi, and the Additional IG, alongside other senior officials and rally organizers.
During the meeting, participants offered prayers for the tragic martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Detailed discussions were held regarding the security protocols for the 21st Ramadan Youm-e-Quds rally. Minister Lanjar confirmed that Police, Rangers, and other law enforcement agencies have been put on high alert to ensure the safety of all participants, emphasizing that the country currently requires mutual understanding and religious tolerance more than ever.
Allama Shahanshah Naqvi and the rally organizers assured the administration of their full cooperation, pledging that the procession would remain disciplined and follow the designated routes. Furthermore, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab guaranteed that the KMC would provide essential services, including sanitation, functional streetlights, and other civic facilities along the rally path. The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to maintaining peace and order in the city during the religious observance.
