KARACHI: A 35-year-old manager of a well-known clothing showroom allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in the Hyderi Market area of North Nazimabad on Tuesday.
According to the details, the incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Hyderi Market Police Station in Block H. Upon receiving the report, police teams rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.
Investigation Details
The deceased has been identified as Rana Muhammad Saqib, son of Siddiq, a resident of the area near the Matric Board Office. Initial police investigations suggest that Saqib was under severe mental stress due to ongoing financial difficulties.
Hyderi Market SHO, Muhammad Arif, informed the media that the deceased used a weapon belonging to the showroom’s security guard to take his own life. The security guard was reportedly on leave a day prior to the incident. Meanwhile, the Crime Scene Unit has been summoned to collect forensic evidence from the showroom to rule out any other possibilities.
Police officials stated that while the primary motive appears to be financial distress, a comprehensive investigation is underway to confirm the exact circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
