KARACHI: Ferozabad Police have registered a case against approximately 100 individuals on behalf of the state for staging a protest and blocking Shahrah-e-Faisal near the Nursery bus stop. The demonstration was organized to demand justice for the late trader Mir Raza, with participants carrying banners, batons, and chanting slogans against the alleged killers.
According to the FIR lodged by Sub-Inspector Muhammad Nizam on August 27 at 12:30 AM, the protestors blocked the main thoroughfare from Saddar to the Airport, disrupting traffic and causing distress to commuters. Despite police intervention, the crowd refused to disperse. Twenty individuals—including Adnan Raza, Danish Rehman, and Haider—have been specifically named in the report alongside 75 to 80 unidentified accomplices.
The case has been registered under sections 147, 149, 186, 341, and 504 of the Pakistan Penal Code, covering charges of rioting, unlawful assembly, obstructing public servants, wrongful restraint, and intentional insult. The investigation has now been officially transferred to the investigation wing.
