KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Local Government, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, conducted an on-site visit to inspect major development works in Scheme 33, Malir Memon Goth, and surrounding areas to evaluate the progress of ongoing road construction and infrastructure projects. Key highlights include the ongoing construction of an 11.54 km long and 7.3-meter-wide dual road in Memon Goth, which will connect adjacent areas to major highways via the Malir River Road. This project has an estimated cost of PKR 1,428 million, commenced in February 2026, and carries a scheduled completion target of 24 months, alongside a 125-meter-long flyover linked from the Expressway. During the visit, Minister Nasir Hussain Shah instructed authorities to accelerate construction speeds, ensure timely completion ahead of schedule, and strictly maintain high-quality construction standards in collaboration with executing agencies like FWO, reiterating that modernizing Karachi’s road infrastructure remains a top priority for the provincial government to ensure rapid public accessibility.
