KARACHI: Members of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) have formally submitted a resolution to the Sindh Assembly Secretariat, seeking a Nobel Peace Prize nomination for Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
The resolution, signed by several MQM-P lawmakers, highlights the Field Marshal’s pivotal role in maintaining regional peace and stability. The movers of the resolution specifically praised the Army Chief’s efforts in fostering a secure environment within the region and credited him with commendable diplomatic work.
Furthermore, the document emphasizes his contributions in de-escalating tensions and preventing a potential conflict between Iran and the United States. Based on these efforts, the resolution urges the relevant authorities to formally nominate the Field Marshal for the prestigious global peace award.
