KARACHI: In a targeted operation based on intelligence reports, the Sindh Rangers have apprehended three key members of the infamous “Kaka Gang” involved in numerous robberies and street crimes across the city.
The Arrest
The suspects, identified as Jahanzeb (son of Javed), Loung (son of Khamboo), and Muhammad Munir alias Honey (son of Fayyaz Ahmed), were caught red-handed while robbing a citizen near Derakhshan Marriage Lawn in the Shah Latif Town area.
Recovered Items
During the raid, the paramilitary force recovered one unlicensed .30 bore pistol along with ammunition, two motorcycles used in criminal activities, three mobile phones, and a significant amount of stolen cash from the suspects’ possession.
Confessions and Modus Operandi
During initial interrogation, the accused confessed to committing multiple armed robberies in various localities, including Shah Latif Town, Manzil Pump, Hospital Chaurangi, and Younus Chaurangi. One of the suspects, Munir, made startling revelations, stating that the gang specifically targeted factory employees on their paydays. Furthermore, the gang was involved in “renting out” motorcycles to other criminals for use in street crimes.
Current Status
The Rangers are currently conducting raids to arrest the remaining members of the gang. The apprehended suspects, along with the recovered weapons and goods, have been handed over to the police for further legal proceedings.
Public Appeal: A spokesperson for the Sindh Rangers has urged citizens to report any suspicious activities to the authorities immediately to help eliminate crime. The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.
