KARACHI: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has uncovered and raided a long-standing illegal call center operating on Business Avenue, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi, with exclusive footage of the operation obtained by ARY News. The sophisticated, round-the-clock facility accommodated over 50 individuals at a time, including numerous women and illegally residing Afghan nationals. Operating as a fraudulent scheme, employees posed as representatives of foreign financial institutions and multinational corporations to target international citizens, defrauding them of sensitive data and financial assets. Investigators have identified the alleged owners of the network as Ali Siddiqui (alias Meddy), Fawad Ahmed, and Farooq. Following the raid, the NCCIA successfully dismantled the organized network by arresting 27 suspects on-site, and interrogations are currently underway to trace potential facilitators and further investigate the employment of undocumented foreign nationals.
