KARACHI – The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new and upgraded version of its Pak ID mobile application, significantly streamlining the visa application and biometric verification process for citizens and foreigners alike.
According to an official statement and instructional video released by NADRA, the app has been redesigned to offer a seamless experience for overseas Pakistanis and international travelers from 193 countries, who can now apply for all visa categories directly through the platform.
Key Features of the Upgraded App:
Automated Data Entry: Applicants no longer need to manually type their name, passport number, or expiry date. By using the “Upload or Capture” option for their passport photo, the system automatically scans and populates the required fields. Dedicated Biometric Section: To eliminate complexity, a separate section for biometric verification has been added to the homepage. Home-Based Verifications: Users can now complete several essential tasks from home, including verification of blood relatives, vehicle transfer, succession certificates, passport and arms license processing, and “Proof of Life” verification for pensioners. Enhanced Technology: The facial recognition and fingerprint scanning modules have been optimized for faster and more accurate results.
How to Access: A NADRA spokesperson advised users to download or update the Pak ID app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to benefit from these latest digital facilities.
