KARACHI: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), in collaboration with intelligence agencies, successfully foiled a major terror plot in Karachi by arresting two highly trained terrorists associated with the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). The suspects, identified as Mujahid Baloch and Farid Baloch (alias Zakir Bin), had undergone specialized training in reconnaissance and communication at BLA camps. Operating under the direct instructions of BLA commanders Sajid Baloch and Bashir Zeb, they were stationed in Karachi to gather intelligence on sensitive installations and establish a subversive network targeting law enforcement agencies. During the operation, authorities recovered four kilograms of explosives, detonators, prima cards, and ball bearings from their possession. A formal case has been registered at the CTD police station, and joint investigation teams have been formed to conduct further interrogations, with subsequent raids planned based on the suspects’ disclosures.
