KARACHI: Mir Raza’s accountant, Umair Khan, recorded his detailed statement before the judicial commission investigating Mir Raza’s disappearance, shedding light on financial records, tax filings dating back to 2024, and business operations. Khan stated that financing services were engaged on July 2, 2026, and a branch meeting took place on July 16 in North Nazimabad. He noted that a complete financial audit was not yet finalized, making it premature to declare definitive profit margins based on incomplete data. Describing Mir Raza as a peaceful and courteous individual rather than someone prone to conflict or misbehavior, Khan shared that their communication was restricted to a WhatsApp group and that he always met both business partners together. Additionally, he discussed potential plans for expanding into a catering business, mentioned that Abdullah first informed him of the disappearance, and confirmed that he later contacted Ahmed to file tax returns following the commission’s formation, building upon an initial police statement recorded around August 22.
