Karachi Terror Attack: Martyred Rangers Personnel Laid to Rest with Full Military Honors

KARACHI: The funeral prayers for the Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) personnel, who embraced martyrdom during a late-night terrorist attack on a camp in Karachi’s Safoora area, were offered with high official protocols. The solemn ceremony was attended by top-tier leadership, including Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Governor Sindh, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, DG Rangers, and senior civil and military officials, alongside the deeply aggrieved families of the martyrs. The participants paid rich tributes to the ultimate sacrifices of the fallen heroes and extended their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

The attack was carried out by terrorists belonging to the Indian-sponsored proxy group Jamaat-ul-Ahrar. Security forces responded efficiently, neutralizing three terrorists (Khawarij) and apprehending one injured attacker, who was identified as an Afghan national. In the wake of the incident, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the tragedy, vowing that the state would hunt down the perpetrators across any territory to bring them to justice. Following the funeral, the minister also visited the attack site alongside provincial authorities to inspect the security situation.

Expressing their unwavering resolve, the Sindh leadership firmly condemned foreign-sponsored terrorism. The Governor of Sindh reiterated the province’s commitment to uprooting terror networks, while Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah saluted the bravery of the Rangers personnel who foiled the enemy’s nefarious designs. He reaffirmed that the government stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the security forces for the complete eradication of terrorism from the country. Following the official prayers, the bodies of the martyrs were dispatched to their respective hometowns, where they will be laid to rest with full military honors.
