KARACHI: South Investigation Police in Karachi successfully arrested a highly wanted, four-member armed robbery gang, including its ringleader, following a targeted intelligence-based raid. Law enforcement seized illegal firearms, cash, and multiple snatched mobile phones from the suspects, who were actively operating across the South and East zones of the city. The arrested individuals have been identified as Salman, Mujahid, Hamza, and Allah Noor, all of whom are habitual offenders with prior criminal records involving armed robbery and illicit weapons.
SSP South Investigation Tauheed Rehman revealed that the syndicate targeted a tile showroom owner in Clifton on August 21, making off with 4 million rupees—having previously robbed the very same owner of over 2 million rupees in 2023. Prime suspect Hamza was previously arrested and jailed in 2022 for a murder case registered at the Mobina Town Police Station, and after his release, he formed this new robbery network, even inducting a female accomplice. Comprehensive background checks and further interrogation of the suspects are currently underway to uncover any additional criminal involvement.
