Germany Student Visa Fraud Busted at Karachi Airport; 3 Female Passengers Offloaded

KARACHI – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration wing has successfully intercepted a major student visa scam at Jinnah International Airport, offloading three female signatures bound for Germany on suspicion of possessing fraudulent academic documents.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the intercepted passengers have been identified as Nida, Gulnaz, and Aqsa. While Nida and Gulnaz were attempting to travel on German student visas, Aqsa was traveling holding a German residence permit.

The Investigation Unfolds

During routine profiling and questioning, Nida and Gulnaz failed to provide satisfactory details regarding their respective academic programs or their intended studies in Germany. Upon further interrogation, both women confessed that they had never attended any college or university in Pakistan.

The investigation took a significant turn when it was revealed that the third passenger, Aqsa, who has been residing in Germany for the past decade, was allegedly acting as a facilitator. She was reportedly managing visa processing, blocked accounts, and the procurement of fake academic credentials.

Key Discovery: A forensic review of Aqsa’s mobile phone uncovered suspicious mark sheets, academic records, digital signatures, and other incriminating materials used in the fabrication of fake educational documents.

Agent Network Exposed

The probe has also implicated a Karachi-based agent named Humayun. He allegedly charged PKR 150,000 per passenger to fabricate the required academic documents to bypass immigration and visa protocols.

Current Status

All three passengers were immediately offloaded from their flight. The suspects have been handed over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Karachi for a detailed investigation. A formal case is being registered, and raids are underway to apprehend the local agent, Humayun.
