KARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has directed all District Election Commissioners in Sindh to establish and maintain an updated data bank of government officials and staff at the district level. Stemming from a decision made during an August 4 meeting, this directive requires districts to compile detailed records of electoral officers and personnel from various government departments in strict accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The prompt implementation of these data banks is designed to streamline preparations for future elections. Furthermore, district authorities have been given a strict deadline of 10 days to submit formal verification of the completed data banks, which will subsequently be forwarded to the ECP headquarters in Islamabad.
