KARACHI: The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) held an interactive session with the students and faculty of the University of Karachi (UoK), focusing on national security, unity, and the growing challenges of the digital age. Upon arrival, the DG ISPR was warmly received by the university administration, faculty members, and a large number of students.
During the session, both teachers and students reaffirmed that the people of Pakistan and the Armed Forces stand united against any threats to national stability. Faculty members emphasized that spreading information without proper verification leads to social chaos and misunderstandings, noting that direct communication between the military and educational institutions strengthens the confidence of the youth and aligns national thinking.
Students also expressed their commitment to playing an active role in national defense, vowing to dismantle hostile narratives and propaganda on social media. They highlighted that the DG ISPR’s briefing on misinformation and disinformation campaigns was highly informative and essential for the digital generation. The event concluded with a shared consensus that such interactions are vital for fostering national unity and raising awareness among the youth regarding the complexities of modern warfare.
