Now in its 14th day of operation, the market has officially opened for buyers, signaling the start of the Eid-ul-Adha shopping season.
Arrivals from Across Pakistan Market Administrator Tariq Tanoli reported a steady stream of trucks arriving at the Marshalling Area. Traders from various regions, including Moro, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Kandhkot, and Dera Allah Yar, have reached the site with high-bred, well-maintained livestock. Notably, many traders have come prepared with their own fodder and mangers to ensure the well-being of their stock.
Early Sales and Market Trends The market is already witnessing positive momentum. Ahsan Hafeez, a trader from Moro who brought 120 animals from Punjab, recorded his first sale within 24 hours of arrival. Similarly, Muhammad Saleem from Sheikhupura has offloaded 15 premium animals at his allotted plot, expecting high demand.
Strict Health & Hygiene Protocols To ensure the safety of both buyers and livestock, the administration has implemented rigorous checks. A team of veterinary doctors is stationed at the Marshalling Area to conduct detailed physical examinations of every animal entering the premises. Administrator Tanoli emphasized that strict hygiene standards are being maintained throughout the market blocks to provide a clean environment for visitors.
