KARACHI: Taking serious notice of the technical glitches and delays in the issuance of matriculation admit cards, the Sindh Minister for Educational Boards, Mohammad Ismail Rahoo, has expressed severe indignation toward the Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK). The Minister has issued a formal letter to the Chairman, demanding a comprehensive explanation within three days regarding the failure to provide online access to admit cards.
Minister Rahoo stated that the administrative negligence has caused “severe mental agony” and uncertainty for thousands of students and their parents. He specifically pointed out the failure of the IT department and relevant staff, directing the Chairman to take strict action against those responsible for this lapse. Highlighting media reports, the Minister noted that certain “black sheep” within the board are intentionally damaging the institution’s reputation. Aside from the admit card delays, he has also sought clarification on discrepancies found in the allotment of examination centers.
“Corruption or lethargy in the education system will not be tolerated. If a satisfactory response is not received within three days, disciplinary action will be initiated against the top officials responsible,” warned Mohammad Ismail Rahoo.
The Minister has further directed the BSEK administration to rectify these errors immediately and present a comprehensive future plan. The goal is to ensure that the students’ academic year is not jeopardized by administrative mismanagement and to prevent such crises in the upcoming examination cycles.
