Speaking at Fan Expo Boston, Evans revealed that directors the Russo Brothers enjoy pushing Steve Rogers to his absolute limits, noting that the Russos believe a true hero is defined by rising up no matter how hard they are struck down, which hints that Rogers will face unprecedented challenges and a significantly harsher journey in the new film. Avengers: Doomsday features a star-studded cast alongside Evans, including Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth, and is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on December 18.
