KARACHI: Sindh and China’s Hunan province have officially signed a Letter of Interest (LOI) to establish a formal sister-province relationship, marking a major milestone in bilateral cooperation following President Asif Ali Zardari’s visit to Hunan. The document was signed by Sindh’s Senior Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, and the Director General of the Hunan Foreign Affairs Office (FAO), Guo Ning, during a ceremony attended by Special Assistant Qasim Naveed Qamar, Pakistan’s Consul General in Guangzhou, Yasir Iqbal Butt, and other high-ranking officials from both sides. This strategic partnership focuses on enhancing institutional coordination, building stronger business-to-business ties, and expanding cooperation in investment, technology, and innovation. Ultimately, the collaboration is designed to foster economic growth, promote knowledge exchange, and open up new opportunities for people-to-people connections between Sindh and Hunan.
