KARACHI: Following recent activity at Port Qasim, the Karachi Port has also begun receiving a steady stream of crude oil tankers, signaling a significant boost to the country’s energy supply chain.
Current Arrivals
Two major vessels have already docked at the port, bringing a substantial volume of feedstock for the domestic refining sector. MT Iasonas arrived with 73,000 metric tons of crude oil, while MT Sargodha also brought 73,000 metric tons. Combined, these two vessels have delivered a total of 146,000 metric tons to the port.
Upcoming Schedule
The maritime traffic for oil remains busy with more arrivals scheduled for the next 48 hours. MT Lahore is expected to arrive on March 19 with 73,000 metric tons. Additionally, MT Karachi is expected between March 18 and 19, carrying approximately 800,000 liters of crude oil.
