KARACHI: The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) has officially announced the final results of the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2023, recommending 152 candidates for various Grade 16 and Grade 17 positions across provincial departments.
According to the official notification issued by the Commission, the breakdown of the recommendations is as follows:
Breakdown of Grade 17 Appointments:
- Provincial Management Service (PMS): 31 candidates.
- Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP): 30 candidates.
- Assistant Director Local Government: 46 candidates.
- Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies: 05 candidates.
- Assistant Director Labour: 02 candidates.
- Assistant Director Anti-Corruption: 01 candidate.
Breakdown of Grade 16 Appointments:
- Mukhtiarkar: 30 candidates.
- Labour Officer: 06 candidates.
- District Food Controller: 01 candidate.
Women’s Representation
The Commission highlighted significant female representation in the final results. Among the successful candidates, 07 women have been recommended for the PMS, while 01 female candidate each has been selected for the posts of DSP and Assistant Director Anti-Corruption.
Examination Timeline
The rigorous selection process for CCE 2023 spanned over two years:
- August 2024: Screening tests were held, where 2,032 candidates passed out of 14,588 participants.
- April 2025: Written examinations were conducted, with 597 candidates qualifying for the interview stage.
- October 2025 – January 2026: Interviews were conducted to finalize the merit list.
The SPSC stated that all constitutional requirements, including the urban/rural quota and gender-specific seats, were strictly followed during the preparation of the results. Formal recommendations have now been dispatched to the respective provincial departments for the issuance of appointment letters.
