KARACHI: The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) has successfully completed repair work on a major water trunk line near Port Qasim, restoring the supply to several affected areas. According to a spokesperson for the KWSC, the maintenance team worked on an emergency basis to fix the pipeline. Following the completion of the technical work, water supply has been resumed for residents of Landhi and Malir, who had been facing a temporary shortage.
The repair took place near Port Qasim, and supply is now fully restored in the affected zones of Landhi and Malir. KWSC officials stated that the work was prioritized to minimize public inconvenience and ensure the swift return of services.
The Corporation expressed regret over the temporary suspension of water supply and reiterated its commitment to upgrading the city’s water infrastructure. A spokesperson added that comprehensive measures are being taken to make the distribution network more stable and efficient to prevent future disruptions.
