KARACHI: The Karachi Traffic Police spokesperson has issued a special traffic management plan for District South effective today, March 2, citing security reasons for the temporary closures. According to the official statement, several key arteries will remain closed to public traffic, including the stretch from M.T. Khan Road to PIDC Road and Mai Kolachi Road up to the railway crossing.
To ensure a smooth flow of traffic, the authorities have suggested several alternative routes. Commuters traveling from Bilawal House and Clifton towards Jinnah Bridge via Mai Kolachi are advised to use the route through Teen Talwar, Clifton Bridge, Metropole, and Fawara Chowk, then turn left towards Shaheen Complex.
Travelers heading from Mauripur to Boat Basin should turn left from Jinnah Bridge and use I.I. Chundrigar Road, while those coming from ICI Chowk can take Nawab Mahabat Khanji Road near Kutiyana Memon Hospital. Similarly, drivers traveling from Shara-e-Faisal towards Jinnah Bridge are advised to turn right from PIDC towards Shaheen Complex and proceed via I.I. Chundrigar Road.
Note: Citizens are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays and follow the instructions of traffic personnel on the ground.
