QUETTA/KARACHI: Arzoo Haider Ali, a distinguished national karate player who earned multiple gold and silver medals for Pakistan, passed away on Wednesday morning. She had been battling critical injuries sustained in a road accident earlier this week.

The tragic accident occurred on April 20 near CPEC Chowk on Spini Road. Arzoo was traveling on a scooty with a fellow athlete, heading from Hazara Town to Ayub Stadium to compete in a karate championship. Reports indicate that the scooty slipped due to scattered construction debris on the road, causing Arzoo to fall and strike the roadside pavement with significant force.
Medical Battle
Following the crash, Arzoo was rushed to a private hospital with severe head and body injuries. She remained in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for two days under specialist care. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, she succumbed to her injuries today.
