KARACHI: In a landmark move toward digital sovereignty, the National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) has signed a strategic three-year agreement with Data Vault Pakistan to establish a secure and sovereign Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure for the Government of Pakistan. Under this partnership, Data Vault Pakistan will develop an enterprise-grade, high-performance GPU infrastructure hosted within NTC’s ultra-secure, state-monitored data centers. This initiative is specifically designed to accelerate AI adoption across public sector institutions by providing advanced GPU services and enterprise AI solutions, while strictly ensuring that the government’s sensitive data remains localized and entirely within the country’s legal jurisdiction.
Highlighting the strategic importance of this project, NTC Managing Director Major General (R) Ali Farhan emphasized that computing power serves as the backbone of modern digital infrastructure, and localizing AI data hosting is a critical milestone for national security. Echoing this vision, DataVault Pakistan’s CEO, Mehwish Salman Ali, stated that AI will define the next era of national strength, economic growth, and public services, making this collaboration vital for building a secure, AI-driven future. Furthermore, COO Syed Zeeshan Ali noted that this partnership lays the foundational framework necessary to transition Pakistan from a mere consumer of global technology into a core developer of cutting-edge AI solutions.
