KARACHI: Police in the Baldia Musharraf Colony area have arrested a mother and her son for their alleged involvement in an online drug delivery network operating across various neighborhoods of the city. A significant quantity of narcotics was also recovered during the operation.
According to police officials, law enforcement personnel seized 114 grams of Ice (methamphetamine) from the possession of the suspects, identified as Shan Khan and his mother, Bashiran.
How They Operated
Investigating authorities revealed that the duo used to smuggle the drugs from Hub Chowki (Balochistan) into Karachi. They operated like a modern delivery service, receiving orders from clients via mobile phones and then supplying the contraband to different parts of the metropolis.
A Criminal Record
Police claims further disclosed that the arrested woman, Bashiran, is a habitual offender. She has a prior criminal record and has been arrested previously in connection with multiple cases registered in both Balochistan and Karachi.
A case has been registered against the suspects, and further investigation is underway to uncover more links to the drug supply chain.
